Why won't the gridlines print if I have selected the first two rows on a page to print as titles? The autofill is OFF.

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
Can you reproduce this by going to a new workbook, adding something to the first three rows, go into Page Setup and set the first two rows to repeat and turn on Print Gridlines?

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and found a solution? I've just run into this problem myself and am scratching my head over it.

I believe the issue may be specific to Excel 2007 and may revolve around having print titles in row 2 or beyond. I have a file that was originally created in Excel 2003, and the print titles are in row 3 only. The gridlines used to print, but now that I'm using Excel 2007, they simply don't print even though they show up in print preview.

At first I thought my file had gone bad. But after experimenting with creating a new test file and defining the print titles to be in row 3, the problem of gridlines not printing was replicated. So I don't believe my original file went goofy on me.

Any ideas/solutions?
