Hi

I have created a pivot table and grouped the dates by month and year. Unfortunately I did not realise I left the auto box clicked which has inserted an end date. Is there any way I can change this easily so that I can insert more data.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
press refresh to update data
go to data menu and press refresh all

Hi Anandvarma

I have tried this but unfortunately it has not worked as I would have liked.

The pivot table has a date filter for the year. When I have inserted sample data for 2012 I know get the following results:-
2010
2011
> 31/8/2011

I would like to select only the data for 2012 but don't now how to remove the greater than option from the date grouping.

Apologies if this is not clear, I am new to forums and do not know how to upload a picture to explain this better.

Thanks

Hi

This is in xl2010, but if I right-click on this Grouped field and select Group I get the grouping dialog again where I can check/uncheck the Ending date.
