Grouping of Geography Data Type

Hi

I am trying to map data relating to Vietnam. The data layer that exists for Vietnam is at province level - for which there are approximately 70.
To make the map easier to view, I would like to group some of the provinces into larger geographical areas - unfortunately there isn't a layer for this in the readily available Geography Data Type within Excel. Is there a way that I can combine/group the provinces into specific regions (as per below) to help me with the mapping.

Use such table as "Lookup Table"
Then, once you get the Province, use vlookup to create a third column with the region name; basically:

=VLOOKUP(TheProvince, TheLookupTable, 2, False)
