My Access 'speedbump' involves the Request Date column of my database, which is in Short Date format now. I would like to Group the data by month so that I can extract more volumetric data. I read somewhere that you can do it in Reports, but haven't tried that route yet. I've been trying to do it in the SQL Query screen so far, but to no avail.

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
to group by month, in your query..

Group by

Month: DatePart("m",[RequestDate])
