I got a mail from someone at my company saying: I know that you are extremely busy (nice ***-licking-intro for a mail, ain't it) but could you have a look at this Excel sheet that isn't working properly...

The Excel sheet was never created by me (I know my sheets when I see one) and has about 15 tabs that have been altered, replaced, deleted, inserted over the last 10 years.

Formulas have been replaced by numbers, there are errors all over the place as rows, columns and cells must have been altered, replaced, deleted and inserted as well...

There are 3 TOTALS pages and some totals from page 1 are taken from page 2 + page 3, but not always as some totals on page 3 are taken from page 1 + 2 or totals from page 2 that are taken from page 1 + 3. And they all have slick formulas that go like this: = France!A1 + Germany!A1 + Italy!A1 + .... + ... + ... and so on and so on... and then there is suddenly a + Spain!A3 somewhere in between probably because someone inserted at a certain time a certain cell.

What do you think, just give up and start all over again...

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
How did you wind up with one of my sheets?
