Have I been sleeping on data validation lists, or was always just ignorant.

I noticed today that I selected a column of 25 cells with only 3 unique names to use as a data validation list. when i clicked on the drop down the list was already filtered. Is this a fairly recent addition, or have I always misunderstood it? I have 365.

(I wonder what 'current channel preview" means, though).

Thanks @MARK858 , but if this was in preview in May 2022 why is it not in all 365 by now?

I don't know if you did the highlight above or not, but I am in the next group down, Monthly Channel (Targeted).

Gets released when they are happy with it after following up on feedback
I read it to be mean that this is the channel of what is coming next month. But, your comment makes sense in light of the current situation. Maybe I'll give them some feedback! It is a time saver!

Any of the versions that are classed as "Insider" are at various stages of testing and so if someone raises an issue late in the process that is of concern then they will put the general release on hold until they are satisfied it is ready for general release (and even then it is a gradual rollout, also the 32bit version is normally updated before the 64bit version)
