I understand the idea of having various icon sets as in "AddCrazyIcons()";

What I don't understand is how to specify the IconCriteria for the individual icons in each set;

In 2 earlier examples, there's the following object:

Dim ICS As IconSetCondition

The code uses the default criteria, hence it doesn't set it.
if you want to affect the criteria rules, then you can use something like this:

With Range("A1:C10")
    Set ics = .FormatConditions.AddIconSetCondition
    .FormatConditions(1).IconSet = ActiveWorkbook.IconSets(xl3Flags)
etc.. with your criteria changes

I encourage you to experiment on your own and if you can't figure it out, post what you've tried tweaking to the general Excel questions forum where many members are available to help you.
