Hello,

I am trying to create a formula that will take a value in a cell and multiply the first 2000 by a certain rate and then multiply the remainder of the value by a second rate and add them together to make a total in one cell.

For Example:

Cell Value 15,000
Multiply by first rate 2000*.19
Multiply by the second rate 13,000*.20
Total 2,980

Also, if the value is lower then 2000 then multiply by the first rate... Hopefully this makes sense... any suggestions will help.

Thank you!
Wendy

Welcome to the board.

Try:
=MIN(A1+0,2000)*0.19+MAX(0,A1-2000)*0.2
