Hey everyone!

Could you help me out with a following macros

Imaging if i have 200 shops which send me 2 xls files monthly. All of them have the same xls file template, they simply fill 2 raws (K and L). All of those 400 files are located in one folder on my local pc

The mission is to create a macros to check on every xls file for mistakes in "K" and "L" raws and set up a new .xls file with a list of every shop that had mistakes

Is there any way i could do that?
If you guys have no idea/experience in creating such macros, could you please point me in a right direction on what software should be used?

Excel Facts

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
Hi, good news and bad news.
Good news that there is a way to do that through VBA. (Opening .xls file and checking the values and Closing)

Bad news that I am not sure what you mean by "K" and "L" raws. Would you like to describe more about it?

another Bad News that what indicates its shop name in .xls file?

Heh,

  • well not raws, but "row" =)

the "K row" should be in range of 1-31 (drop dawn list from 1 to 31 to choose from for salespeople)

the "L row" should contain numbers only without decimals

If any of those files in my folder return an error, it should be indicated in a separated excel **** with a list of all shops with mistakes
  • Each shop has its special number, the file names are "zxcvP0327" and "zxcvZ0327" where zxcv is a shop number, 0327 is a date
