help needed immediately with regard to an excel formula

how to insert an X at the beginning of the above column like:

hi should I just type it after selecting the column , i want to replace the entire column with X in the beginning

assuming that the column is column A and that column B is empty

enter the formula in B1

click in B1

hover the cursor over the bottom right of B1 until the cursor turns into a +

double click.
