Hi,

I have a time sheet where task time is recorded, for example 01:22. This is one hour 22 mins and the cell is in date format. The hourly rate is 100 Dollars and here is my problem, how do I calculate the number $136.3?

Thanks very much all works, curious to know why 24 is the magic number, obviously hours in a day but not apparent why that is relevanr..

Times in Excel are stored as fractions of 1. For example 12 hours is stored as 0.5. Multiplying by 24 converts that to a decimal number of hours.

Could you help me, plz. I need an Excel formula that will allow me to figure out a fraction from the total. It should count cells E.g.
cell A1 1
cell A2 0
cell A3 1
cell A4 1
cell A5 3/4
total should be 3 out of 4 or 3/4

try =AVERAGE(A1:A4)

=COUNTIF(A1:A4,">0")/COUNT(A1:A4)
