Hello,

I am trying the get the phone numbers for respective stores in my worksheet from another tab in the same worksheet and I selected the range but when I drag the formula down to other cells the range also changes. The formula I used is as under:
=VLOOKUP(D3,'McDonalds Rest List'!$B2:$I1442,7,FALSE)
When I drag it down the range changes from B2 to B3 and I 1442 to I1443 and so on so forth.

Can someone help please....

Thanks
Dhiren

Using a mouse in Excel is the work equivalent of wearing a lanyard when you first get to college
You need a dollar sign in front of the row numbers...
=VLOOKUP(D3,'McDonalds Rest List'!B$2:I$1442,7,FALSE)

Hope that helps,
Cindy

Hello Dhiren,

Welcome to the board.

It appears you need to make both the column and row an Absolute Reference. Instead of $B2:$I1442, use $B$2:$I$1442. (Note the dollar sign in front of the row number.)

Hope this helped.

Regards,

David
