In a row I am entering my weight each Monday for 14 weeks.

At the end of the row I want to total what my weight loss is or what my new weight is.

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
To show latest entry:

=INDEX(A1:AZ1,MATCH(9.99999999999999E+307,A1:AZ1))

To show total loss:

=A1-INDEX(A1:AZ1,MATCH(9.99999999999999E+307,A1:AZ1))

It's not real clear what you want to do.

It would seem to me that what you might want is to find the difference of the initial (very first) weight entry from the most recent weight entry.

Like:

150
147
145
148
144

So, it woud be 150 minus 144 = 6

Is that what you had in mind?

You need to clear your zeros. All our formulae look for the last value, if it's 0, the difference between the start weight and the end weight is the start weight (270.8 - 0 = 270.8).

Keep future weights blank and the formulae should work.
