Hello all,

I have a problem i could use help with.

I have a spreadsheet that contains 8 columns that has different manager levers. There are eight level and one column that contains group names. A manager can appear on any of the levels depending on his title and how many people he has above him.
The worksheet looks like this...

A1 Group Name
B1 1st Level Mngr to I1 8th level Mngr

In a seperate small table on the same sheet
There is a list of the managers and their goup names. It looks like this...

K1 to K8 Manager
L1 to L8 Group Name

I need a way to lookup range B1 to I1 and if a manager name matches one of the names in K1:K8 place the associated group name (L1:L8) in A1.

Any help would be great!

I think this is what you are asking

=INDEX($L$1:$L$8,MATCH(B1,$K$1:$K$8,0))

then copy that down
