I want to display alert when I double click a cell within a given range.
I can show for any cell with the Target.Address but with the given range.

Now my range is F5:AJ & Last used row.
I am using column E to check the last used row.

So when I double click any cell within the range, I want it to display an alert showing the column index of my range (table).
Since my table starts with column F, any cell clicked in column F should show 1, G = 2 and so on.

Can someone help me out?

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
How about
VBA Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_BeforeDoubleClick(ByVal Target As Range, Cancel As Boolean)
   Dim UsdRws As Long

   UsdRws = Range("E" & Rows.count).End(xlUp).Row
   If Not Intersect(Target, Range("F5:AJ" & UsdRws)) Is Nothing Then
      Cancel = True
      MsgBox Target.Column - 5
   End If
End Sub
