If I have 7/26/2006 in cell A1, what formula can I use to return the
the "week of" 7/24/2006?

I have a range of data that's 50,000 rows deep containing different
dates. I need to find out what week they begin in using dates, not
the weeknum function.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Try: =A1-CHOOSE(WEEKDAY(A1),0,1,2,3,4,5,6)

Thanks for your input. Your forumula gets me very close to where
I need to be. However, it returns a Sunday as being the first
day of the week. In my scenario, I need that to be Mondays.

How would I adjust the formula above for that?
