Please, could forum members with the expertise in Excel assist me with Excel program that will help me to keep records of Product Purchases from suppliers and Sales to Customers.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p> </o:p>
We run a small family company and we purchase different products (not many categories) and make sales of same products to customers. It is my desire to use an Excel program to record purchases of products from suppliers, sales of the products to customers and also be able to undertake some basic analysis of both purchases and sales periodically.
<o:p> </o:p>
I need help with Excel program that will achieve the following:
<o:p> </o:p>
  • The front page will bear the name of the company and a button that opens up and takes one into the Purchases, Sales and Analysis menus as follows:<o:p> </o:p>
Front Page will have –
<?xml:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /><v:shapetype id=_x0000_t202 path="m,l,21600r21600,l21600,xe" o:spt="202" coordsize="21600,21600"><v:stroke joinstyle="miter"></v:stroke><v:path o:connecttype="rect" gradientshapeok="t"></v:path></v:shapetype><v:shape style="Z-INDEX: 1; POSITION: absolute; TEXT-ALIGN: left; MARGIN-TOP: 12.6pt; WIDTH: 114pt; HEIGHT: 27pt; MARGIN-LEFT: 168pt; LEFT: 0px" id=_x0000_s1026 type="#_x0000_t202"><v:textbox style="mso-next-textbox: #_x0000_s1026"><TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%"><TBODY><TR><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8">
COMPANY NAME

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></v:textbox><?xml:namespace prefix = w ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word" /><w:wrap type="square"></w:wrap></v:shape>
<o:p> </o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
<v:shape style="Z-INDEX: 2; POSITION: absolute; TEXT-ALIGN: left; MARGIN-TOP: 2.45pt; WIDTH: 114pt; HEIGHT: 27pt; MARGIN-LEFT: 168pt; LEFT: 0px" id=_x0000_s1027 type="#_x0000_t202"><v:textbox><TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%"><TBODY><TR><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8">
OPEN<o:p></o:p>

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></v:textbox><w:wrap type="square"></w:wrap></v:shape>
<o:p> </o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
When the Open button is clicked, it should take one to the main program as follows:
<o:p> </o:p>
  • The PURCHASES menu. Each time the purchases menu is clicked, it should come up with a DATA ENTRY Form to enable one enter the following – Product Name, Date of Purchase, Supplier’s Name, Qty Purchased, Unit Cost etc.
  • The SALES menu. The Sales menu should also come up with a DATA ENTRY Form that will enable the input of Product Name, Date of Sale, Customer’s Name, Customer’s Contact Details, Qty Sold, Unit Selling Price
  • ANALYSIS menu. I should be able to undertake analysis of the Purchases and Sales as follows:
a) Stock Analysis – Analysis on the basis of products that will contain information such as Date Product Purchased, Unit Cost, Total Stock unsold (Qty), Total Stock unsold (Cost), etc.
b) Sales Analysis – that will contain information such as Product sold, Date of Sale, Qty Sold, Unit Selling Price, Total Sales
c) I should also be able to carry out analysis in order to obtain information such as Purchases on Date basis,.Purchases on Supplier basis, Purchases on Product basis; Sales on Customer basis, Sales on Date basis, Sales on Product basis.
<o:p> </o:p>
I will remain very thankful for any help.

Kenny

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
