Help with IF

Hi all

What I need to be able to do is if 1 or 2 is in B6 then * 8% if 3 is in B6 then *9% if 4 is in B6 * 10% and if 5 is in B6 * 11% if 6 is in B6 * by 12%. all has to be in one cell

If someone can help me out with this that would be great

Ryan,

If I'm not mistaken you'll run into a circular reference doing that. A macro however will do it.

Are you * a cell value by x% and not the value of B6?

this is what i had for 2 numbers
=IF(B6=2,(B7*0.08),(B6=3)*(B7*0.09))

Note sure if this is what you want

=IF(B6<=2,B6*8%,IF(B6=3,B6*9%,IF(B6=4,B6*10%,IF(B6=5,B6*11%,IF(B6=6,B6*12%,FALSE)))))

Simply change the B6*8% to D7*8% etc

So the formula would be

=IF(D6<=2,D7*8%,IF(D6=3,D7*9%,IF(D6=4,D7*10%,IF(D6=5,D7*11%,IF(D6=6,D7*12%,FALSE)))))
