I am working with a really detailed excel sheet... its a eBOM for auto components to be exact... I want to pull out information from the different components that we are going to make (length, width, height, annual volume and press size)... I want to automatically pull out all that informaition and place into a template that i created instead of having to type it in manually.. I want to use the same template and automatically upload the information once a new eBOM is loaded into the workbook... Can this be done? thanks in advance!

Welcome to Mr Excel

If your template is on another worksheet and your data is all laid out in a table format then it sounds like you need to use Vlookup in the various cells on your template e.g. if you have one cell on your template where you enter the value you wnat to look up (e.g.part number) and then in each of the cells in your template you have a vlookup formula that looks up that part number in the table and retunrs the value from the colum you want.

Doesn't necessarily need any VBA - depends on exactly what you are trying to do.

Yes I was thinking of using vlookup, the only problem is that i dont know if i will be able to just add a new ebom without getting error from the vlookup from naming of tabs?

Let me try to explain it alittle better.... I am able to use the vlookup formula to call out all the informaiton from the tab named "e-bom" inside the same workbook... Once I am done pulling the necessary information I want to be able to load another ebom and be able to call out the same information (ie, annual parts, LWH, etc.. ).. if I try to do this now i get a bunch of errors because I currently delete the tab named "e-bom" and insert another tab with the same name... hopefully that is a bit clearer.. Thanks in advance guys!
