Hi I have the following issue
On the first spreadsheet I input all the hours, and they are split into differant departments as the staff split their time
Dept 0 Dept 1 Dept 2 Total
11 Helen Janes 200 50 20 270

The second spreadsheet is the Sage payroll excell that I convert from pdf to excell even though its untidy they are in their proper cells
Gross

In the third spreadsheet I want to look up the persons Number and bring in their gross salary then divide by the hours so it will give me their hourly rate

Because the names are merged the persons payroll numbers are not, so ideally the only spreadsheet that will change each month is the sage payroll one, I would like a vlookup that I can use the array and bring the number, unfortunately its not working, can anyone help please

The first spreadsheet is called Hours, the second is called employee deductions, and my spreadsheet that it needs to go in is just called sheet 5

Hope that all makes sense
its to big to upload the image and I have tried before the L2bb this is why I have typed it out
thanks in advance
Helen

Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
