I've created a Workbook with a single UserForm that opens when the Workbook is opened ...

The UserForm is a simple calculator that takes the input from a TextBox and 2 ComboBoxes, performs an arithmetic calculation in the background and displays the result in another TextBox ...

There is one CommandButton ("Close") which unloads the UserForm and closes the Workbook (and Excel if it's the only Workbook open) ...

The X on the UserForm is disabled ...

But how do I now get to the Visual Basic editor?!!!

Excel asks me if I want to open in safe mode (yes), but then displays UserForm - I can't get to the VB editor and Close behaves the same ie Unloads the UserForm and closes Excel?

I tried, but struggled to span the various keys with my hand!

But I've found a workaround ...

- open another Workbook (a blank WB is fine)
- open the VB editor
- open my Workbook (which opens the UserForm, but is also shown in the VB editor)
- comment out the Application.Quit code in my Workbook
- close the UserForm (which leaves the WB open)
- edit the VB/UserForm
- test
- uncomment the Application.Quit code
- save the WB
- continue
