Hi there, newb here, long time excel lover who lost his memory......trying to make cells highlight selectable on/off on a click of a mouse button

don't know if i need code or a macro, tried conditional formatting..... particular set of cells which describe weather conditions for a daily report, all i want to do is to pick a cell with a type of weather condition and it highlights a chosen cell, any takers??

ShowersLight windsFog
Light RainHigh WindsSunny
Heavy RainExtreme HeatStorm Activity
