How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Hi and welcome to the forum!

If your text is in A1, use the following formula to extract the first numeric value:-
Code:
=VALUE(TRIM(LEFT(RIGHT(SUBSTITUTE(A1," ",REPT(" ",99)),198),99)))
and this formula to extract the final numeric value:-
Code:
=VALUE(TRIM(RIGHT(SUBSTITUTE(A1," ",REPT(" ",99)),99)))
