Is it possilbe to highlight a cell in a particular column if cells in the same row but different columns are duplicates. In the example below I would want the letter C and F to be highlighted because the info is the same in the rows in different columns. Hope that makes sense.

<TABLE style="WIDTH: 192pt; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=256><COLGROUP><COL style="WIDTH: 48pt" span=4 width=64><TBODY><TR style="HEIGHT: 15pt" height=20><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; WIDTH: 48pt; HEIGHT: 15pt; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" height=20 width=64>A</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; WIDTH: 48pt; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" width=64 align=right>1</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; WIDTH: 48pt; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" width=64 align=right>5</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; WIDTH: 48pt; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" width=64 align=right>4</TD></TR><TR style="HEIGHT: 15pt" height=20><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; HEIGHT: 15pt; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" height=20>B</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" align=right>2</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" align=right>4</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" align=right>1</TD></TR><TR style="HEIGHT: 15pt" height=20><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; HEIGHT: 15pt; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" height=20>C</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" align=right>3</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" align=right>3</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" align=right>3</TD></TR><TR style="HEIGHT: 15pt" height=20><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; HEIGHT: 15pt; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" height=20>D</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" align=right>1</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" align=right>2</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" align=right>2</TD></TR><TR style="HEIGHT: 15pt" height=20><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; HEIGHT: 15pt; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" height=20>E</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" align=right>2</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" align=right>1</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" align=right>5</TD></TR><TR style="HEIGHT: 15pt" height=20><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; HEIGHT: 15pt; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" height=20>F</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" align=right>3</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" align=right>3</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" align=right>3</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Hi

One possible way. If your data is from A1:D6 then, select A1:A6, go to conditional formatting and choose formula and use the following formula.

=ISNUMBER(MODE($B1:$D1))*(COUNTIF($B1:$D1,MODE($B1:$D1))=COLUMNS($B1:$D1))

Choose the required format and click ok.

Thanks Sandeep that works but I made a mistake in what I asking. This is copied directly from the sheet I am working in now. I would want to highlight the codes in column A if the info in the adjacent rows were matching. The infor isn't duplicated across then entire row like I previously implied. Hope this can still work.

Hi

This way will work if you have a header row before your actual data begins. Create a helped column as shown below

<b>Excel 2010</b><table cellpadding="2.5px" rules="all" style=";background-color: #FFFFFF;border: 1px solid;border-collapse: collapse; border-color: #BBB"><colgroup><col width="10px" style="background-color: #DAE7F5" /><col /><col /><col /><col /><col /><col /></colgroup><thead><tr style=" background-color: #DAE7F5;text-align: center;color: #161120"><th></th><th>A</th><th>B</th><th>C</th><th>D</th><th>E</th><th>F</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">1</td><td style="font-weight: bold;;">Data 1</td><td style="font-weight: bold;;">Data 2</td><td style="font-weight: bold;;">Data 3</td><td style="font-weight: bold;;">Data 4</td><td style="font-weight: bold;;">Data 5</td><td style="font-weight: bold;;">Helper Column</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">2</td><td style=";">90172G1001-001</td><td style=";">G1001-</td><td style="text-align: right;;">51.25</td><td style=";">x</td><td style="text-align: right;;">25.062</td><td style=";">G1001-@51.25@x@25.062</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">3</td><td style=";">90172G1001-002</td><td style=";">G1001-</td><td style="text-align: right;;">51.25</td><td style=";">x</td><td style="text-align: right;;">25.062</td><td style=";">G1001-@51.25@x@25.062</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">4</td><td style=";">90172G1001-006</td><td style=";">G1001-</td><td style="text-align: right;;">58.25</td><td style=";">x</td><td style="text-align: right;;">25.062</td><td style=";">G1001-@58.25@x@25.062</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">5</td><td style=";">90172G3001-015</td><td style=";">G3001-</td><td style="text-align: right;;">51.25</td><td style=";">x</td><td style="text-align: right;;">25.062</td><td style=";">G3001-@51.25@x@25.062</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">6</td><td style=";">90172G1001-016</td><td style=";">G1001-</td><td style="text-align: right;;">19.25</td><td style=";">x</td><td style="text-align: right;;">102.06</td><td style=";">G1001-@19.25@x@102.06</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">7</td><td style=";">90172G1001-017</td><td style=";">G1001-</td><td style="text-align: right;;">19.25</td><td style=";">x</td><td style="text-align: right;;">102.06</td><td style=";">G1001-@19.25@x@102.06</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">8</td><td style=";">90172G1001-020</td><td style=";">G1001-</td><td style="text-align: right;;">46.25</td><td style=";">x</td><td style="text-align: right;;">102.062</td><td style=";">G1001-@46.25@x@102.062</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">9</td><td style=";">90172G1001-021</td><td style=";">G1001-</td><td style="text-align: right;;">46.25</td><td style=";">x</td><td style="text-align: right;;">25.062</td><td style=";">G1001-@46.25@x@25.062</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">10</td><td style=";">90172G1001-022</td><td style=";">G1001-</td><td style="text-align: right;;">46.25</td><td style=";">x</td><td style="text-align: right;;">25.062</td><td style=";">G1001-@46.25@x@25.062</td></tr></tbody></table><p style="width:3.6em;font-weight:bold;margin:0;padding:0.2em 0.6em 0.2em 0.5em;border: 1px solid #BBB;border-top:none;text-align: center;background-color: #DAE7F5;color: #161120">Sheet1</p><br /><br /><table width="85%" cellpadding="2.5px" rules="all" style=";border: 2px solid black;border-collapse:collapse;padding: 0.4em;background-color: #FFFFFF" ><tr><td style="padding:6px" ><b>Worksheet Formulas</b><table cellpadding="2.5px" width="100%" rules="all" style="border: 1px solid;text-align:center;background-color: #FFFFFF;border-collapse: collapse; border-color: #BBB"><thead><tr style=" background-color: #DAE7F5;color: #161120"><th width="10px">Cell</th><th style="text-align:left;padding-left:5px;">Formula</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><th width="10px" style=" background-color: #DAE7F5;color: #161120">F2</th><td style="text-align:left">=B2&"@"&C2&"@"&D2&"@"&E2</td></tr></tbody></table></td></tr></table><br />

Once you have this setup, you can use conditional formatting (same steps as mentioned in my last post) with the following formula

=OR($F2=$F3,$F2=$F1)
