highlight Fridays only

Hi
I have dates in one column A and I want to heighligh Fridays days. So I highlighted the column A and went to conditional formatting --> Rule

=weekday(A1) = 5

and changed the color. But it is not working! any help please. Thank you very much

You misspelled "weekday". It is "weekday", not "weekeday".

You have misspelt the name of the function, also for Friday use =6 not 5
