Highlighting every other row in a table

I have a table that new data is added to and is resorted everytime that happens. I need a way to reformat those cells (deleting all color and then highlighting every other row.) Am looking for a way to do this with a macro. Any help would be appreciated.

Conditional format maybe?

Use the formula:

=MOD(ROW(),2)

and color of your choice.

You could do this with conditional formatting.

Select all your data and go to the cf wizard

choose 'use formula' and enter

=mod(row(),2)=0

then set your preferred cell shading.
