Home-->Number-->decrease decimal

Hi,
I have A1=100.25
I went to home-->number-->decrease decimal and made A1=100
I type in A2 = A1-100
and I got 0!
When I click on A1, I see the formula bar is giving me 100.25

So my questions, why I got in A2 = 0
What the home-->humber--> decrease is doing? Round, RoundUp, or RoundDown?

Format A2 as a number with two decimal places. The number that appears in a cell depends on how the cell is formatted. The exact number to 15 significant digits appears in the formula bar.
