I have a sheet that gives users account data by month. The sheet includes drop downs that allow the user to select which metrics they wish to view. The column headers are color coded, using conditional formatting, to indicate to the user whether they are actuals or projections. On occasion a user wants to save off a particular metric. So I gave them a button to export a "hardened" (formulas converted to values) copy that they can save.
My problem is that the conditional formatting, which uses formulas to resolve the conditions, retains the links to the original document - causing the header color coding to be unreliable. I've tried the "Break Links" under the Data menu, but that has no effect on the conditional formatting formulas.
Is there any code that I can add to my export button that "hardens" the conditional formatting as well?
Thanks, Rm
