How can I add a large excel file to power pivot?

Hello,
I am working with huge amounts of call volume data which I analyze by means of pivot tables. The data is so large I need to use 3 excel files.
How can I add these files to a power pivot table.
When I tried to save as a CSV file it doesnt work.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
