How can I CF a date if weekend?

How do I conditional format a cell (14/02/1965) if it falls on Saturday or Sunday.

Hi. Try the CF formula

=OR(WEEKDAY(A1)=7,WEEKDAY(A1)=1)

If I wanted to format cell A2 dependant on the result in A1 how would the formula be changed (to be entered in th CF on A2)

I think it would be the same or possibly

=OR(WEEKDAY(A$1)=7,WEEKDAY(A$1)=1)
