How do I delete hidden data in cells

I have a workbook in which it shows the cells as blank but there is hidden data. When I go to copy and paste special a formula its designed to do blank cells only. Although there shown as blank on the worksheet their not.
Is there anyway I can delete the hidden data in the cells

In what way are the cells blank - they've got data but how is it formatted to not show (eg same text colour as the background)?

The answer determines what might or might not work.

Hi tweacle,

Is the cells that have the hidden data formatted by Conditional Formatting? If it is you can try this option:

1. Go to Edit Menu-> Go To-> select the button Special (bottom, left side). Then thick Coditional Format select the option button All.

2. Worksheet will not display cells with conditional formats, you can now delete them.
