How do I display formula results in another cell?

I am a new user and have been tasked to creating some very simple formulas. My problem: I have created the =Product(H22,J33) now I have the formulas visible in the cells. How do I hide the formulas in the cells and still be able to see the results of the calculation?

Can I have the formula in one cell and have the answer pushed to another cell where it will be displayed.

I have hidden the formula in the fx window by protecting the sheet. But can't get it to hide on the sheet.
I don"t nothing anything about VB.

Hi. Welcome to the board.

I think what you are asking is how can you turn the show formulas off in order to see the value of the calculation. This can be done by pressing (Ctrl + `). In addition, if you want to see the formulas in a certain cell and not in others, set the type to text and it will show the formulas in that cell only. (as long as they are not text formulas)

This is what I'm trying to accomplish and it works. However, I can't hide these formulas. We have some people whom will fill out the forms by hand and the text will prevent it. The electronic versions no problem.

If it is a printing issue where you want to "hide" the formulas, make the text color the same as the interior cell color.

Yes, it is a printing issue. For user whom have only the forms will be attempting to write over the formulas.

If I can place the formulas off the sheet where it can't be seen and still have the Tensile Strength PSI cells populate when the width and thickness values are added electronically, this would be the cats meow.

You can copy the tab to a new table within the book and set the text color to white (or the background color). When printed, this will not display the result or the formula, just a blank space with the same width and tickness as the electronic results.
