I am working on a calender, and I have created a background showing 4 weeks with lines showing days and hours. I want to lock these lines in place so when I move cells around in this area, I don't accidently move these lines around. I've been trying for hours with no luck. <Protect> just makes the doc a "read only" doc.

Thanks, Kip...............

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
You could lock the cells (Format cells... after a rightclick on the selection of cells). After that, protect the sheet (a password is optional).
