How do i round off a figure permanently?

Hi, I need to round off figures in a column.

For example cell A1 reads 7.01999999999999.

I need to change it permanently to 7.02 such that when I click on that cell, it will read 7.02

I know you will suggest that I use the cell format option for decimal places but that is not what I want.

What i want is to change the value totally to 7.02 and i wouldn't see 7.01999999999999 in the space beside the fx (insert function).

Please help.

Test this in a copy of your workbook as it may have consequences you don't want.

1. Format the cell(s) in question to display 2 decimal places.

2. Turn on "Set precision as displayed" for the workbook. *

3. Optional: Return the cell(s) in question to their original format if you want.

4. Turn off "Precision as displayed" for the workbook. *

* To set Precision as displayed varies with your version for Excel. For Excel 2010 it is found under

File|Options|Advanced|Scroll down a fair way to "When calculating this workbook"|Set precision as displayed|OK

Check other parts of your workbook carefully for unintended consequences.
