How do you show a percentage change between percentages

i have the following data
non mailing list 100
people booked 2
%age booked 2%

mailing list 15000
people booked 587
%age booked 4%

how do i show the increase/decrease between the two %ages?!:rolleyes:

It's basically:
=(4%-2%)/2%

assuming you want to show the increase from the first percentage to the second.

you are a star thank you so much! it's showing as 96% increase.. that's gotta be right?!

just realised, they're wanting to show that 100% more people booked when they were on the mailing list compared to the 2% that booked who weren't on the mailing list.. would i still use the above formula?

sorry for the extra info!

The 96% is accurate because the 4% is really 3.913%, not 4%.

If you have to show it as a 100% increase (which is wrong ;)) you need to round the two initial results using the ROUND function:
=ROUND(587/15000,4) will return an actual value of 4% rather than the 3.913%
