How format entire line?

I have an Excel template. If I save an Excel file to that templte name, I can already format one cell to, say, make the background yellow if one cell in that line has a value less than another.

But I can't figure out how to make the entire line, (6 cells total), have a yellow background if one cell is less in value that another in the same line.

Anybody kow the answer?

Hi Steve: welcome to the board

Say you want to format A2:F2 to be Yellow if A2>B2. Select the range A2:F2 and Choose Conditional Formating, Select the Formula is option. Enter =$A$2>$B$2. Note the absolute references. Now format the backgroud as yellow.

That's all there is to it.

Edit: If you need to format several rows at once that compare columns A&B, change the formula to =$A2>$B2. Make the rows relative
