How should I tackle this?

Hi guys,

I have a bunch of customer data. Each row consists of a client and going across, I have things like client id, address, age, married or single, etc. I am trying to show things about the demographics: what % are male? What % live in x state? Those are pretty easy. But, I also wanted to have some way for one to ask: what % are male and live in x state? What do you think the best way to do this is? Maybe some type of drop down menu where you can select the attributes and then the % of the data that matches is out?

Thank you for your advice.

Brian

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
This scenario screams for a pivottable :)

Explaining how to make one would take me too far, there are plenty of manuals and how-to's you can find about pivottables, but in my opinion, this is definitely the way to go for your case...

Oh, I know how to make pivot tables. Ok.. I'll try one of those. Guess I just didn't visualize the data in a pivot table.
