Hello Board Members,

Column A contains a string of binary numbers (1's & 0's ) that are formula generated with
an associated formula generated number in column B.

I want (excel 2003) to list for me in column D the associated number in column B that corresponds to the binary formation in column C: where the first "1" in column A is the number 18, so D2 shows 18. Next the first "0" in column A is the number 27, so D3 shows
27...next the second occurance...so on and so forth.
If I change the formation in column C, then excel would reflect the results.

I'm doing this manually, sort, copy and pasting humdreds of times per session.
I'm hoping you could help me automate this proceedure.

Thank you in advance,
SEMME

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
Sorry just to clarify, above I wrote that I am manually sorting etc, actually I'm already using a macro, so by automate I mean to say that excel will show results "live", or on the fly for lack of a better word...thanks
