Hello everyone,

I am trying to call the first available or active cell under a column and start the calculation from there.

so for example, in this picture:
the first active cell under column y is 48.5 and from there i can start my calculation for column Z ( taking into account that the first active cell in column y does not have to be row 5, it could be in row 6, 8, 1 or whatever row) I would like to know how to call the active cell on vba when calculating for a new value?

Thanks,

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
Welcome to the Board!

Why not just use =SUM(E$3:E4) and copy down? Excel's not going to do anything with blank cells, so what's it matter?

Otherwise, you'll need to give some clarification as to what you're trying to accomplish and why you need a VBA solution.

HTH,
