How to Create a Serial Number Custom Column without Using Index Column

I have Lists of Lists in the Custom Column and I want to get the current row number of the table and put that number in List{Number}.

Basically, I want the current row number in the custom column without creating Index Column.

Is it possible?

How do you want to put the current row number of the table into the list in the list? As a new list item into the inner list?

Perhaps you could post a sample table with the custom column that shows your lists of lists and the desired result, then it explains more about the existing structure and the desired result.
