How to create to the power(superscript)

Hi All,

I am new at excel and would like to create a column of numbers that are to the power of 2. I.E 2 to the power of 1, 2 to the power of 2, 2 to the power of 4 etc etc so I want the powers in superscript in the column and then move it to a graph. Which leads me to my second question how can I change the legend in the graph that already exists.(x axis).

I hope I have explained myself well?

Do you actually want to display 2¹, 2²...?

Or do you just want to get use the results, 2¹=1, 2²=4, ...? as data for a chart?

Thanks for the quick reply, yes I want to display and not show the results.

Basically I want to create an exponential graph however I have to display 2 graphs without the logarithm(I think that is correct terminology) and one with.

I being a little ignorant was hoping that I could write 2<SUP>1 </SUP>2<SUP>2</SUP> and then just fill down.
