How to deal with tables?

I have the following problem:

Is it possible to have a formula in cells C10, C11, C12 and C13, that automatically detects the values in the table. For example, in row 10 I have X1 and Y1, which means the value 10 in the table, but I want it to appear in cell C10. How can I do this automatically.

I would appreciate any kind of tips to deal whith tables in Excel.
