I have a shared work book and i have a series of text boxes in it, i need to be able to exit the text boxes WITHOUT unsharing the workbook

is this doable ?

the text boxes sit on top of shapes so ideally i dont want to convert these to cells only

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
I'd suggest linking your text box to a cell. When you click your text box, and you get the dotted line around it and the cursor blinking inside, move your cursor to the outline of the text box until you get the four-way directional arrows and click once.

Then in the formula bar, just type =A1, or whatever cell you want to reference it to (perhaps a separate worksheet or something). Then when you change the value in the cell, the text box contents will change since you technically will not be modifying the text box properties.
