I have a number in cell J2 ... let's say the number 7

I wish, in cell K2, for that number to be expressed in the mm:ss time format, so it should look like 7:00

Because, ultimately, I wish to make each successive cell below K2 add one minute to the time above it, so K3 would read as 8 minutes (8:00), K4 would read as 9 minutes (9:00) etc etc etc

This last part is simple to do with the formula ... =K2+time(0,1,0), but I can't figure how to do the first part of my question.

Any ideas ?

Kind regards,

Chris

Excel Facts

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
Thanks Fluff ... I feel stupid .. I had been multiplying by 1440 instead.

Ta again,

Chris

Hi, you could also use =TIME(0,J2,0) which would add a little consistency to your method for adding the subsequent minutes.
