Is there a way to filter columns of a protected worksheet while still protecting the formulas in specific cells? I want to allow other users of the worksheet to be able to filter the data, but I do not want to allow them the ability to accidentally change the formulas.

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
When you protect the sheet make sure you check the "Use Autofilter" box

Did you apply the autofilter before protecting the sheet?

In that case you should be able to filter the data. Although you might not be able to use the autofilter sort.
