How to get max(c(x):c1000) where x is a cell value

Hi,

I need to use max(c(x):c1000), min(c(x):c1000) etc whereby x is a cell value.

So x could be in cell a10 which has a value of 10, which results in max(c10:c1000)

I hope to be able to change just the value of cell a10 so as to get different range.

Is that possible? I tried to do some search but I can't find the ans but anyway, I'm also not sure the keywords to search.
