How to lookup and call cell value from another sheet based on matching values?

I have 2 sheets containing student data. The second sheet is from a different database and includes new students username and password that needs to be added to the first sheet. I tried vlookup but couldn't figure it out. Your help is much appreciated.

Try this in the blank cells of Col. C of the CurrentStudents tab changing the 2 to equal what row number the missing text is in:

=VLOOKUP(A2,NewStudents!A:B,2,FALSE)

Nice, It works , but how can I cover all users with missing passwords in CurrentStudents sheet?

Try these three steps:

1. Filter by (Blanks) in Col. C the CurrentStudents tab
2. Put my formula into the first blank cell in Col. C changing the row number to match the first missing row number if required
3. Copy the formula from step 2 into each blank (visible) filtered cell in Col. C
