How to lookup other cell references and ask excel to perform searches to do this based on criteria...

I’m doing some org charts (see figure 1 below), but there’s 1000’s of rows and I don’t want fill in the ‘Reports To’ column (K) manually…too time consuming.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

Is there any way to make a formula which references the line manager of any given employee? As an example, Cell K9 should reference cell F6.<o></o>
