How to obtain the cell of a range

Hi everyone again. As always thanks in advace to read my question

I would like to know if there is any application that I can use to retrieve the Cell Position of a value in a Range.

I mean, that if I have a range of 300 values, which are going from the lower to the highest value, (for example from 15.4 to 587.5) and I want to find the cell position of the closer value to 230.
I was using LOOKUP which is finding the number really nice, but I realize that is not what I need because I need to know in which cell is this number.

VBA and Excel have an "ADDRESS()" function, that returns the cells Address.

Sorry but I dont understand how to use this thing with my previous requirment. I mean, I need first of all find the closer number within a range, and after retrive the position of the Cell that contains that number. Maybe I didnt understand well how to use this application
