How to prevent a user from changing a text in a textbox ?

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Perhaps you could use some other control, one which can display data but can't be edited.:)

You could use a "Label" control. Or if you want to toggle the ability to edit the text in the Textbox, you could set its Enable property to True\False using VBA e.g
Code:
Sheets("Sheet1").TextBox1.Enabled = False   'Can't edit Textbox1

Or to toggle enabled True\False...
Sheets("Sheet1").TextBox1.Enabled = Not Sheets("Sheet1").TextBox1.Enabled

Try this :

Code:
Private Sub TextBox1_KeyDown _
(ByVal KeyCode As MSForms.ReturnInteger, ByVal Shift As Integer)

    KeyCode = 0

End Sub
